MACY KLEINFELDER
Macy Kleinfelder is an educator and community leader dedicated to cultivating school environments where students feel connected, valued, and inspired to grow. As the Dean of Student Life and Culture at The Madeira School, she guides programs that shape the daily life, traditions, and culture of the school community—helping students develop both a sense of belonging and a strong moral compass.
At the heart of Macy’s leadership is the gift of the connector. Throughout her career in independent schools, she has focused on strengthening relationships across campus—bringing together students, faculty, and families to create a vibrant and supportive community. Prior to joining Madeira, she served as Dean of Students and Campus Life at Stuart Hall School and held leadership roles at The Williams School, experiences that deepened her commitment to building cultures where every student feels seen and supported.
Macy is also deeply rooted in the gifts of love and interpersonal insight. She approaches student life with empathy and attentiveness, recognizing that the most meaningful learning often happens in relationships—with mentors, peers, and the wider community. Her work centers on listening, encouraging, and helping young people discover their voice and their place in the world.
Guided by an Idealistic vision of education, Macy believes schools can be powerful communities where character, compassion, and purpose take root. She works to design programs and traditions that nurture not only academic success but also courage, integrity, and service.
In every role she takes on, Macy brings people together around a shared belief: that when a community is built on trust, care, and connection, young people are free to grow into their fullest potential.
